Blessed When It Costs You | The Beatitudes Part 4 | Matthew 5:10–12

What does persecution actually mean? Is it disagreement? Pushback? Consequences? Or something deeper?

In this final message of our Beatitudes series, we examine the difference between suffering because we are foolish and suffering because we are faithful. Not all resistance is persecution — sometimes it is refinement. Jesus does not bless poor character or reactionary boldness. He blesses righteousness.

We explore:

• What persecution is — and what it is not

• Why righteousness quietly confronts compromise

• The difference between spirituality and true obedience

• Why Jesus tells us to rejoice when faithfulness costs us something

Most of us may never face prison for our faith. But we may face mockery, misrepresentation, relational tension, or career pressure. When obedience costs us something, we are revealing whose kingdom we belong to.

True Persecution does not mean you are losing. It means that your allegiance is visible.
