James "Patience & Perseverance"

Life is full of challenges—some come from people, others from circumstances. In James 5:7–12, we’re reminded to live with patience, perseverance, and character as we wait for the Lord’s return.

Just as a farmer waits for the rain and harvest, we are called to be slow to anger with people, steadfast in trials, and faithful in our words.

In this message, we’ll explore:

- Patience with people (Makrothumeō – being slow to anger and abounding in love)

- Perseverance in circumstances (Hupomonē – enduring hardship with hope)

- Character shaped by both (allowing God to refine who we are in the process)

We’ll look at Job’s perseverance, the prophets’ endurance, and the call of Jesus to live with simple integrity—letting our “yes” be yes and our “no” be no.

If you’ve been struggling with difficult people, hard circumstances, or weariness in the waiting, this message will encourage you to hold fast. The Judge is standing at the door, and the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
